Initial Consult $285
2 hour appointment to explore your complete health history and discuss your concerns and goals. Lena will take a thorough review of your body systems, current symptoms, nutritional status and diet, relevant lab work, and your constitution to develop a plan with you. You will be sent detailed individualized recommendations, custom herbal formula(s), as well as specific nutritional supplements when indicated (see more on herbal formulas and supplements below).
Follow up Consult $100 - $150
30 or 60 minute appointments to assess changes, make adjustments to your formulas and recommendations if necessary, and focus on new or related issues.
Herbal Formulas & Nutritional Supplements
Lena will develop individualized herbal formulas for you in the form of a liquid extract, powder, or tea. The herbal formula(s) developed for you will be compounded at the Herbal Dispensary at Maryland University of Integrative Health (of which Lena is an almuna and has formulating privileges) and shipped directly to you. In some cases Lena may also recommend nutritional supplements available to you at 40% off retail pricing with our professional accounts.
Booking your Initial Consultation
Lena's schedule typically books at least 5-6 weeks in advance. The best way to inquire is to email the office. In order to complete booking of your initial consultation a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking (no deposit is required for follow up appointments). This deposit is refundable for cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance (see cancellation and payment policy below). As Lena always has a long waiting list, and initial consultations involve detailed reviews of health history, we need at least this much notice to fill any cancelled appointments and best serve all of our clients. After you are booked we will email you a detailed health history intake form to fill out and send back to us at least 3 days prior to your appointment.
Cancellation and Payment Policies
For your 2-hour initial consultation we require at least 72 hours (3 days) notice to cancel or reschedule the appointment without incurring a cancellation fee. For all follow up appointments we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you give less than 72 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your initial consultation we will retain the 50% deposit. If you give less than 24 hours notice for the initial consultation (or any follow up consultations) the full fee for the appointment will be charged to your card on file. The only exception to our cancellation policy is for pregnant clients who go into labor or birthworkers (midwives, OBGYNs, and doulas) who are called to a birth (in this case you will be charged and given a make-up session). If you cannot make your appointment due to illness (or some other reason that prevents you from coming in person), but you’d like to avoid a cancellation fee, then you might consider contacting us to change it to a virtual appointment (via our secure video conference software). Remainder payment for your appointment is due at the time of the appointment via credit, debit, cash or check. Virtual appointments will be charged at the time of your appointment to your credit card on file.
